Double Eccentric Butterfly Valve “Eccentricity” can enhance valve performance Double/triple eccentric valves are well known for their strength and resistance even at high pressure.   The basic principle of an eccentric design is to not align the axis of rotation of the disc with the centerline of the seat area, thus circumferential seal is moved away from the seat minimizing the stress when the valve opens. Disc seat is EPDM for long life in drinking water. Stems and Disc The stems are sealed at the disc hub and valve body to prevent corrosion. The disc is fixed to the stem with both pins and a key for an extremely strong stem to disc connection. Bronze disc is a domed, flow-through design for minimum head loss.
